Running..

Mizuki fled from a pursuing pack of humans in her wolf form with Tatsuki on her back, crying into Mizuki's thick pelt of black fur.

Suddenly, a loud bang pierced through the air and one of the pursuing humans went down with three circular wounds in his chest.

Mizuki yelped in suprise and skidded to a halt, gently coaxing Tatsuki off her back so she could stand in front of her protectively as she snarled at the humans although looked at the dead mans strange wounds curiously.

"If you all wish to live, then I suggest you all turn around and go back to your village" said a slightly deep, gruff voice as a vampiric man came out of the trees and landed on his feet. He had long black hair, red eyes and deathly pale skin. He wore a red headband, a tattered red cloak with a high collar that blocked the lower half of his face, had on a black shirt with long sleeves, black pants, had a black glove on his right hand, wore a hideous gold gauntlet on his left arm and had on golden boots that looked very sharp. He had a strange silver weapon in his right hand. It had three long barrels, it had a key chain of a three headed dog and it was silver.

Mizuki immediately adjusted her body so she was facing both the vampire and the men. She knew she couldnt beat all of them but at least Tatsuki would get away. She tried to growl, but it came out as a pathetic whine since she was tired and injured from the scrap she had earlier with the humans.

The vampiric man pointed his weapon at the villagers. "You will return to your village or you will die. This is your only warning" he said as he prepared to fire at the villagers.

Half of them turned and ran but one or two stood their ground, muttering things like 'mongrel' and 'half-breed' at Mizuki which made her eyes seem hollow and pained.

The man fired at one of the remaining villagers, causing the villager's head to explode from the power of the weapon. "Who's next?" he asked emotionlessly.

The others shrieked in fear and ran just as the men before them had done.
Mizuki slumped to the ground, half in relief, half in exhaustion. Tatsuki still sobbed as she clung to Mizukis fur.

He reloaded his weapon and placed it in a holster on his right hip. He turned to Mizuki and stared at her with his glowing red eyes. "Are you OK?" he asked her.

She let out a low, pained growl as she shifted back to her human form. A tattered kimono clung to her body as she tried to stand up.
"I'll be fine..."
She gently gripped a wound on her arm as Tatsuki took her hand shakily.

"Would you like medical assistance?" he asked her. His manner of speech was very old so it was obvious he was a man that was raised the old fashion way.

"No...I'll be fi-agh!"
She kneeled down again as she felt one of her ribs had snapped.

He frowned slightly behind his cloak as he stared down at her. "Are you absolutely sure you don't need assistance?" he asked.

Tatsuki tilted her head slightly and stared at the man, chanelling her thoughts to him.
'Sister is very independent...She doesnt like asking for help...'

Mizuki just squeezed her eyes shut in pain and whimpered.

He looked to Tatsuki and nodded his head. He turned to Mizuki and walked over to her. "I am going to transport you to a healer" he told her.

"That...ngh..isnt nessecary.."
She coughed.

Tatsuki sighed and wiped her eyes, standing by her sister and tugging on her sleeve to try and get her over to Noraku.

"You might not believe so but it IS necessary" he said as he picked Mizuki up into his arms.

She tensed as he picked her up, not used to contact from anyone other than her sister.

Careful with Sister, she's been abused very much...
Tatsuki informed him.

He nodded silently at Tatsuki and started walking towards the village he just came from, walking in long, powerful strides.

Mizuki slowly relaxed a little, although her ears picked up on the slightest noise and twitched, showing she was still anxious.

"Relax. Nothing will hurt you. I will make sure of it" he said neutrally.

She said nothing, only looking down at the tattered remains of the kimono she wore with a saddened look.

"You seem upset about that kimono you are wearing. Did it mean something to you?" he asked her.

She shook her head.
"Just a memory...Not like it matters..."

That was a birthday present...She got it the same day she got attacked by humans
